Daytona Cubs Giveaway Winner


The winner of the four tickets to the Daytona Cubs opening night, presented by Wendy's on Friday, April 9th is Melissa Webb! Congratulations!

The game begins on Friday, April 9th at 7:05 PM against the Brevard County Manatees. There will be pre-game live entertainment on Riverwalk and numerous giveaways presented by Wendy’s during the game. Wendy herself is even throwing out the first pitch! Don't forget about the Fireworks Extravaganza following the game!

Saturday, March 27 through Monday, March 29 - Walk Through a Super Colon

Experts at the Florida Hospital Cancer Institute invite the public to walk though a 20-foot long, 8-foot high replica of the human colon. Visitors will learn about the nation’s third deadliest cancer and get a close-up view of health colon tissue, various stages of colorectal cancer and signs of non-malignant diseases like Chrohn’s and colitis. The exhibit will also offer free activites including healthy cooking demonstrations and a Kids Zone where children can learn about healthy digestion while having fun with food. Florida Hospital will provide free colon health screening kits and lectures on digestive health.

Saturday, March 27 - Annual Easter Egg Hunt

Join the City of Palm Coast at its Annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, March 27 beginning at 11:00 a.m. Enjoy a fun day of collecting thousands of Easter Eggs that will be scattered across Central Park in Town Center. There will be a bounce house, face painting and photos with the Easter Bunny. Egg hunt will be broken down into age groups, the first in each group to find the golden egg will win an eggstra special prize! Children must bring their own baskets along with an adult/parent.

The American Cancer Society Relay For Life is a life-changing event that gives everyone in communities across the globe a chance to celebrate the lives of people who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost, and fight back against the disease. At Relay, teams of people camp out at a local high school, park, or fairground and take turns walking or running around a track or path. Each team is asked to have a representative on the track at all times during the event. Because cancer never sleeps, Relays are overnight events and 18 hours in length.

Who: Anyone can participate in Relay For Life. Friends, families, neighbors, classmates, sports teams, etc., can form their own teams. No matter who you are, there’s a place for you at Relay.
