Kids- bring a book and camera to a state park and take the challenge! Parents and kids can go online to print the rules and checklist of activities. Kids are required to complete five activities on the list, including reading a book in a state park, and send a photo of each one to enter the contest. Good luck! You will earn a FREE pass for you and your family to a State Park!

Porcupine Balls


Ingredients

  • 1 can of diced tomatoes.
  • 2 cans tomato sauce
  • 2 lbs of hamburger meat.
  • 1 cup of rice (not the instant)
  • 1 egg
  • diced onions
  • Italian seasoning
  • salt/pepper
  • garlic (chopped)

Directions

-Combine seasonings, hamburger, egg, rice, and onion.  Mix well.

-Make into small to medium sized meat balls.

-Combine tomatoes and sauce in a crock pot.

-Fry meatballs in a pan with oil until slightly browned. (you may omit this step)

-Put into crock pot.

-Cook on low heat for 7 hours.

Super Easy Valentine's Day Wreath


This craft is unbelievably easy, and a great project for kids to help with! Inspired by a wreath on Pinterest, we tweaked it to make it simpler and faster for busy Moms!
