Game time Yummy Food!
Pulled Buffalo Chicken Sandwich-Slow cooker style
My family and I love hot sauce and Buffalo wings. Honestly, I put hot sauce on everything. I have a recipe using hot sauce that would be great for your family to try.
With the playoffs now in full force and the Super Bowl coming this is an easy recipe to make that day. You can start it in the morning in your slow cooker or if you don't think of putting it in the morning you can put it in your oven.
You can do a lot with the pulled Buffalo Chicken. You can use it on a sandwich, on a salad, pizza or even Buffalo chicken tacos. I've tried all of these and it tastes great!
What you need:
3 lb bag of frozen chicken (you can use fresh; you just need to adjust your cooking time).
1 Bottle of Frank's Buffalo sauce
1 packet of Ranch dip mix
1 Tbsp of butter
Put frozen chicken, Buffalo sauce and Ranch packet in your slow cooker.
Cook on low 6-7 hours.
Using 2 forks shred and return to slow cooker.
Add butter. Cook on low for additional hour.
When making sandwiches we add a cream cheese spread that is great with the chicken.
Cream Cheese Spread
· cream cheese
· Blue cheese (or you can use ranch. I personally used about half a bottle of ranch dressing)
· shredded cheddar cheese
Add proportions on how you would like them. I personally don't like blue cheese so I used ranch dressing instead. You can use blue cheese crumbles or dressing.
For sandwiches choose your favorite bun or bread. Put some of the pulled Buffalo Chicken on the bun and then spread some of the cream cheese mixture on top.
Enjoy!!
